You may be just starting to watch your weight and work out, or perhaps you’re a long-time Fired Up For Fitness participant. No matter what stage you are at, the New Year is a great time to renew your commitment to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and protecting yourself while you’re protecting your community. The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) has the tools to help you make it happen.

Utilize the many resources from the NVFC’s Heart-Healthy Firefighter Program to maintain a healthy diet, meet your fitness goals, and quit smoking or help those around you quit. Learn more about vehicle safety and the importance of seatbelts at www.nvfc.org/resources/healthsafety/behavior/#Vehicle. Utilize convenient online training to make you even better at what you do. Throughout the year, watch for tips, news, and other information at www.healthy-firefighter.org/media-room
