Follow the blog to stay up-to-date on health and safety issues
The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) is committed to keeping all first responders - volunteer and career - safe and healthy. As part of our ongoing effort to educate emergency service personnel on heart disease, seatbelt use, occupational hazards, and other health and safety issues, the NVFC has launched the B.E.S.T. Blog at http://nvfcbestpriorities.blogspot.com.
Developed in 2008, the NVFC’s Health and Safety Priorities are divided into a series of B.E.S.T. practices focusing on Behavior, Equipment, Standards and Codes, and Training. The blog is dedicated to issues surrounding the B.E.S.T. practices and protecting our nation's firefighters and emergency responders. Keep in mind that the opinions expressed in this blog are the views of the author and not necessarily the NVFC as an organization.
The blog is the newest component of the NVFC’s social media outreach. You can follow the NVFC on Twitter and “like” the NVFC page on Facebook. The NVFC also produces e-newsletters, web sites, and printed materials to ensure you receive information and resources from the NVFC no matter what your communications preference.
Visit http://nvfcbestpriorities.blogspot.com today and start following the B.E.S.T. Blog so you stay up to date on the latest health and safety news and perspectives. Find more information on the NVFC’s B.E.S.T. Priorities at www.nvfc.org/health_safety.
