NVFC Seeks Director of Health and Safety

The NVFC seeks a motivated and enthusiastic Director of Health and Safety to work at the NVFC’s office in Greenbelt, MD, just outside of Washington, DC. Responsibilities include managing the NVFC’s health and safety projects including the Heart-Healthy Firefighter Program; serving as a spokesperson for the NVFC’s health and safety initiatives; developing project ideas and grant proposals; preparing and managing budgets; building coalitions and partnerships; contract management; marketing and evaluating projects; and other duties as assigned.

Ideal candidate will have ability to multitask, show strong initiative, excel at written and verbal communication, and have an interest in health and safety issues. Bachelor's degree; four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Salary is commensurate with experience.
