Tuesday, 04 November 2008

The American Heart Association (AHA) recently recognized the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) as a Start! Fit-Friendly Company. This program recognizes employers who go above and beyond when it comes to their employees’ health. The NVFC was subsequently featured as a Gold level Fit-Friendly Company in a special AHA supplement, “The Healthy Workplace,” in the October 27 issue of Forbes magazine.

“The Healthy Workplace” lists the 951 companies nationwide that were recognized as a Fit-Friendly Company in 2008. The section also includes descriptions of some health and wellness programs at participating companies from around the country. View the AHA Fit-Friendly Companies
