Fired Up For Fitness Challenge
As a firefighter, it's important that you can meet the physical demands of being on duty. By being heart-healthy and physically fit, you're better equipped to help those who depend on you. That's why we've developed the Fired Up For Fitness Challenge, an interactive fitness program that allows firefighters and emergency personnel to log their hours of activity.
The Fired Up For Fitness Challenge allows you to track your fitness hours and challenges you to meet certain fitness goals over the course of a year. As you reach each benchmark, you will receive a reward to keep you motivated and recognize your hard work.
Encourage your whole department to take the Fired Up For Fitness Challenge. This is a great way to work as a team to achieve higher fitness levels and improved health for the entire department. Organize activities such as sports games or group runs to help all members of your department meet the challenge goals. Or make it a challenge within your department and recognize those who achieve the goals.

Here's the Challenge:
Access the Fired Up For Fitness Challenge by signing in to the Adopt the Program database under your individual account. If you are not currently registered to adopt the program, register today.
Track your hours of physical activity by clicking on the Enter Activity Hours option. View previous entries and your points total under the View My Activities option. One minute of activity equals one point in the Challenge.
Your goal to is to reach the following benchmarks number of points at each three month interval. The points are cumulative, meaning each benchmark counts all of the points you have accumulated so far in the Challenge. As you reach each benchmark at the designated interval, you will recieve a reward for your efforts.
3 month benchmark – 2,160 points (36 hours)
6 month benchmark – 4,320 points (72 hours, cumulative)
9 month benchmark – 6,480 points (108 hours, cumulative)
12 month benchmark – 8,640 points (144 hours, total)
